Retail Showroom Manager
Position Overview
The Retail Showroom Manager will be responsible for managing the retail sales associates at our Northville and Bloomfield Hills showrooms, ensuring consistent performance and customer experience across both locations. This leader will develop, train, and support the sales team while working closely with vendors to provide the right products to meet customer needs. A solutions-oriented selling approach and a passion for team development are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and support retail sales associates at both Northville and Bloomfield Hills showrooms.
- Develop sales goals and performance expectations for the team.
- Identify training needs and coordinate both internal and external training opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
Vendor & Product Management
- Collaborate with vendors to curate and maintain a product mix that aligns with customer demand and market trends.
- Negotiate vendor terms and manage relationships to maximize value for both Riemer Floors and customers.
Customer Experience & Sales
- Model and reinforce a solutions-oriented sales approach across both locations.
- Work directly with customers as needed, especially on complex or high-value projects.
- Ensure showrooms reflect brand standards and effectively showcase products.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs for both showrooms, preparing reports for senior management.
- Oversee showroom operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and process improvement.
- Coordinate with marketing and support teams to drive traffic and conversions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales management, preferably within the flooring, home improvement, or building materials industry.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
